For folks who haven't tried breathwork before, here's a quick primer. Read it before jumping in :)
The breathing technique is very simple. You lie flat on your back (if you have lower back problems, you can prop your knees up, but try to keep the head flat on the mat/floor/bed to keep the throat open). Hands at your sides, palms up.
The breathing is all through the mouth and is in three parts:
INHALE to the belly
INHALE to the chest
If you place one hand on your belly and one on the chest, the lower hand should rise with the first inhale, the upper hand rises with the second inhale and both fall with the exhale.
The exhale is more a release than a forceful action. Basically a sigh.
